It is due to open in March 2012 and will allow guests to the park to fully immerse themselves in the world of LEGO. Greeting guests will be a whopping 5,000 mini-figures now that the finishing touches are added…

The LEGOLAND Hotel will feature three different types of themed room – Pirates, Adventure or Kingdom full of exciting features and nice little details. Here is the latest update from the LEGOLAND Hotel as the finishing touches are added;

AS THE NEW LEGOLAND® Hotel NEARS COMPLETION

The new LEGOLAND hotel at the LEGOLAND Windsor Resort will open in mid-March and work is now nearing completion.  The unique LEGO themed family hotel features 1,600 LEGO models, from a giant fire breathing dragon to tiny exotic butterflies.  Final model installations and checks were made this morning (Thursday 2nd February) and some of the most unique features revealed for the first time.
Amongst the most stunning features in the hotel is the wall behind the check in desk - made from 5,000 minute 4cm tall LEGO mini figures. Measuring 1.5 metres by 10 metres long it took over 85 man hours to create.

Also undergoing final model installs was the more grown up Skyline bar, complete with a LEGO Manhattan horizon featuring model skyscrapers populated with a whole neighbourhood of little LEGO people.  And the final bricks were put in place on an array of models in the 150 themed bedrooms – from monkeys and parrots to pirate skull and cross bones.

The 150 bedrooms fall into three themes – Pirate, Kingdom or Adventure – all stamped with the colour, fun and interactivity of LEGO, including a multitude of decorative models and plenty of LEGO to play with. The hotel opening co-incides with the beginning of the 2012 season at LEGOLAND Windsor Resort on Saturday 17th March.
