All About Bricks Awards 2015

As adopted by many of the larger LEGO websites, it’s time for a list of awards that do not give out trophies or certificates. Some might even say that it’s just an excuse to remember things that have happened in the past year of bricky goodness. Yes, that’s exactly what this is.

New Features Writer for Blocks, Monthly LEGO Magazine

Ahoy me hearties! You'll have to wait another week if you normally buy your copy of Blocks magazine in the shops, but Issue 8 has just landed in the office and is already on its way to subscribers! Feel left out having to wait? You can join them at www.blocksmag.com​.

This Thursday the latest issue of Blocks magazine hits newsstands in the UK, and is available for digital download worldwide. I am excited to say that it’s the first issue for which I will be the Features Writer, so am taking this opportunity to share with All About Bricks readers what Blocks is and what my involvement will be. Yes, this is a bit of self-promotion, but with over 200 posts about LEGO hopefully regular readers will indulge me.

Especially re-named for one year only, it’s time for the Awesome All About Bricks Awards (taking alliteration to unnecessary lengths, and not guaranteeing awesomeness).  There are the usual awards and some fun ones, so let’s round out 2014 with a bit of reflection on the year in LEGO.

All About Bricks Awards 2013

Despite an irregular schedule over the past couple of months, a third batch of completely meaningless awards is here to finish off 2013 at All About Bricks. Find out which are the best themes and sets of 2013 as a way to reminisce about the last year in LEGO. Of course these are completely subjective, so please use the comments to argue how wrong the choices are.

...but first, a bit about me

As this is the first post here at All About Bricks it seems to make sense to give some sort of introduction. This blog will be home to a weekly article with opinion and commentary on some aspect of the LEGO hobby, and in between will feature certain news bites that seem worth reporting. To give some hints as to what aspects of LEGO I’ll be talking about here at All About Bricks, a bit about LEGO and me…
