LEGOLAND Windsor Resort Celebrate the Queen's 90th Birthday

As the UK news relentlessly focuses on the EU referendum, a respite is on the way this weekend as the Queen's 90th Birthday is celebrated. The LEGOLAND Windsor Resort have started Miniland celebrations early, with a street party taking place in the minaturised brick world. Read on for the full press release.

Is Star Wars a Minifig Step Closer to LEGO Dimensions?

Disney has announced that the company’s toys to life game experience, Disney Infinity, is to see no further development or releases beyond what has already been announced for the year. As well as Disney developed characters, both Star Wars and Marvel gaming fell under the Infinity banner which precluded either of the properties from showing up in LEGO Dimensions. What are the chances now?

Book Review: Elite Weapons for LEGO Fanatics

LEGO fan Martin Hudepohl designs working guns and weapons using the humble brick (and a fair few Technic pins). In his book, Elite Weapons for LEGO Fanatics, he provides instructions for thirteen fully functional models. It is as unofficial, unauthorised book as the subject matter falls outside of what the LEGO Group consider appropriate for the brand. The Star Wars Miniland Experience has been at the LEGOLAND Windsor Resort since 2012, recreating scenes from the Episodes I to VI and The Clone Wars. A New Hope is represented by a wonderful Mos Eisley setting, forming the basis for a huge Millennium Falcon model. Disability and LEGO: Five Minifigures with Disabilities

Fans have greeted the news that LEGO are to include a wheelchair as part of an upcoming LEGO City minifigures pack, Park Life (60134), positively. It sometimes takes a while for LEGO to get representation right, and now it seems that the scope is broadening further to be more inclusive of disabled people. Of course, this wheelchair user does not mark the first appearance of a disabled minifigure in LEGO – although previously the representations have been from more fantastic realms…
